Does the company bring a true innovation?

If it is not an innovation, it is most likely a commodity which means a race to the bottom on price (like phone carriers). We are not expert in commodities as the ad spends are not measurable directly. Think Pepsi and AT&T here

Is there adequate margin between end of production

process and sale price?

We see best results when margins are 80%. Reason. For example, a product costs $20 to make and we can sell it for $99 directly to a consumer. This works as eventually when the product gets to retail 50% of the ticket will be captured by the retailer and you can’t sell a product on TV or online for $50 and expect to RAISE the price when distribution increases to retail. A common mistake.

We want that $80 to create and drive advertising, make more products, pay your staff, fund expansion and pay the owner because margin’s count.

Do we hand jobs to our own contractors?

Sometimes yes. Generally our Graduate Contractors are connected to a company by identification or referral. Many folks know what we are capable of. The challenge for our team is that they must adhere to our strict processes that involve our management for 3 years before they are allowed to single handedly manage any account. That ensures they are performing to standards and adopt the habits of integrity, creativity, methodology and stewardship that Maximus Group demands.

The Maximus Group Principals evaluate every script, brief and ad before a client sees it.

 

Do we include client voice and editorial comment?

Absolutely. Your content is still yours and must reflect you truthfully, stylistically and legally. Your legal team is also included in the process.

How does media get purchased?

Media and commission is paid in advance and held in an account and subject to refund of unused portions. We do not finance our clients media due to the fact we were left holding the bag for about 2.3 million dollars one year, which affected our sleep.

Briefs start at 5k and go up to as much as 25k based on the initiative.

 

Advertisements range wildly in cost due to the cost of production. We often say “How much does it cost to build a house?” .

 

Depends upon the house we are building? The good news we’ve only made 30 ads out of 1000’s that cost as much as a house. Well done creative is not always expensive. Creativity occurs inside of limitations always.
